I love the respectful businesslike behavior of the people who work at the RED RIVER FEDERAL CREDIT UNION Branch in Hope, Arkansas. I give RRFCU-Hope, AR FIVE STARS.
I DO NOT appreciate some of the charges assessed by the overall RRFCU to its customers. Some of their fees are quite ridiculous in this day and time, but they don't seem to think so. Why charge a fee for a service you haven't provided when the system in a bank or credit union is setup to prevent a charge from processing if no funds are available?
Those systems are antiquated. A computer and not a person stops those transactions, causing the financial institution no harm at all. Financial institutions work as if we are back in the old days when a physical person had to verify a transaction.
Why not update your systems and serve the people who place their funds in your institutions. Without the customer, there would be no financial institutions.

Customer service is only okay, I get better from the other banks I bank with, but they don't offer as good of an interest rate as Red River does, so I will stick with Red River as my main bank. The reason for a 3 star rating is that Red River does not recognize change (quarters, dimes, nickles, pennies) as money to be deposited into their bank. While the amount is not much, they charge you a fee for having any amount of change with your deposit. (the teller said, "yes, we charge a fee") I was told by more than one teller, that I would have to go in and use the machine. They cannot take change at any window. I get paid in all denominations of money and change is usually with it. The other 2 banks I use do not charge their customers to deposit change into their accounts. And no, it is not very much, but I'm making deposits into their bank. It really is the principle of the matter. That is my only beef with Red River, other than that everything else is okay. Nothing outstanding, just another bank with really good interest rates.

My husband and I have had an account at RRFCU for several years now, we were recently hacked. Someone accessed our account and took everything we had causing several transaction overdraft fees etc..... we went and filled out the required paperwork and was told we’d hear back in 7 to 10 business days. Within 3 business days we were reimbursed everything. Thank You ! Happy and thankful customers. We use the Hope Ar branch.

I love RR, but sometime they hire mean and rude customer service people. They have good ones but when hiring new people they come in with the BIG headed attitude. Other than that its a great place to bank at. I have been with this bank since 2005.
