I would like to thank Janet Flores so much for her amazing customer service. A few weeks ago I was in an accident and my brand-new car that I financed with Merco was totaled. I had no idea on how to collect my gap insurance and move forward with things. Thanks to Janet I was able to get what I needed done, she made me feel real comfortable with the whole process and completed all the paperwork for me. I’m so thankful for people like her and I know that Merco is the bank to trust with my finances!

Merco Credit Union is a horrible bank to bank with. They put very strict limits on your account...claim its for safety, when in reality it holds you back and creates a bigger hassle. If you travel out of state or make purchases "merco 'thinks'" is suspicious, they will block your card and be left stuck without your money waiting for them to re open and (hope) you can get ahold of someone since the phone goes to their voice-mail almost every time.
Not to mention, I made a large purchase recently, the transaction appeared and my balance reflected it, then the transaction randomly disappeared and my balance increased to what it was before, then a few days, or a week later the transaction re posted and made me overdrawn. I of course have no record of it....very suspicious.
Sounds like another common banking scam where they try to "re arrange" transactions or temporarily hide them to confuse you, then charge you a lot of fees from being overdrawn, then pursue and criminalize you as if you're committing fraud or something.
Fun fact: banks number 1 way of making money is through overdraft fees (and lending out your money several times of course).
Don't forget when they somehow automatically signed me up for auto savings transfers to cover overdrafts...without me knowing (I never opted in)
Merco Credit Union also is run by a female, Latina/Hispanic majority with the exception of maybe 1 guy, and the customer service is not very professional.
Stay away from Merco Credit Union!
I highly recommend online banks such as Ally, with much higher spending limits and almost 0 fees and restrictions and 24/7 support.
Again, do not bank with Merco Credit Union.

I have been with Merco 40 years. Great customer service, put up with frustrated customer when needed, and always go above and beyond to help. I am especially impressed with how they are enforcing covid policies. Fees and services better than a bank.

I've been with this Credit Union for thirty years and my check and savings account haven't cost me anything...thats right...nothing. And the people that work there are great. Always there to help the customer. Applied for a loan there also. Took less then 24 hours to get the money in my hands. Good job guys, keep it up.
