I am not happy with my experience with this company WHATSOEVER!!! Whoever did my initial paperwork did it incorrectly so I was then unable to register my car. I tried for months to communicate with OneMain and DMV and it was never resolved. NOW, my previous car was totaled OVER a month ago, and my insurance company has been trying to pay them(OneMain) what the car was worth. My insurance company has sent the forms for OneMain to fill out several times, and no one knows what is going on. Meanwhile, I’m still making payments to a large loan and paying hundreds of dollars of unnecessary interest that I wouldn’t be paying if OneMain would have done their part. They tell me they’re going to “work on it” and “ call me back”. Crickets. I try calling back, and no one answers. I’ve even tried e-mailing with no response. Either they’re taking advantage of me and trying to milk out as much interest as possible, or they are truly incompetent. I’ve had plenty of patience. I feel stuck. I cannot wait to be done with this company forever.

So I recently changed insurance providers for my car and got mail from one main stating they no longer have proof of insurance on file so they need to update it. They gave two options for sending proof in either mail or fax. With COVID I do not have access to a fax machine and do not have time to go buy stamps so I called the office to see if they would be another way to send in proof. They said I can email it to them and they will update. I got the email and sent in proof same day. A few weeks pass by and I get another letter from one main stating they still do not have proof of insurance. I call local office again and speak with an Oscar who says they did not receive an email please email it again. Oscar emailed me to make sure I have the correct address. I sent it to the correct address same day. Agains another free pass and I get another letter from one main stating that they still do not have proof of insurance and now they are going to add the cost of insurance to my payment. So mind you I have been dealing with this since April so I call one main once again they state they do not have proof so i emailed proof again. One week later still no change and I’m about to be charged the higher amount. I am extremely upset with this whole thing

The only way they will consider lowering your outrageous interest rate is by you taking out more money and therefore never being able to pay off the loan.

AMAZING!! I was in a tough spot financially and OneMain Financial was able to help me get out of debt, assist with a payment plan that I could afford, as well as go over everything with me. I worked with Vanessa and she was AWESOME! Not only was she training some one while explaining everything to me, her system was intermittent and she was still positive and professional and got the job done. I had my funds within the hour! I am a happy gal! If you are stuck in a financial situation, definitely call OneMain Financial at the Mira Mesa locations.
