Opening an account was a painful process and took a very long time. I still have questions about my account that were not answered satisfactorily. Also, 15 days to process a certified check is ludicrous . I have never had a bank hold a check for more than 3-5 days. I am grateful that I did not need access to my funds in that time. However, I can imagine It would be very hard for a struggling family or individual that was relying on accessing their funds in a timely manner. I sincerely hope my my experience improves and I will find some advantage in using this CU over a traditional bank.

Coloramo has 0 after hours employees to help with their card services. I need to activate a card on Saturday at 6:10 pm and their card activation system does not work at all so we are stuck with zero access to money we deposited with Coloramo.
Any bank/credit union I’ve ever used has had authorized agents via Fiserv or other solutions based contractors that quickly resolve issues 24 hours a day. The silliest part of it all is there is no way to activate online, it’s 2021 for Christ sake and the only service this Credit union provides is Monday thru Friday 8 to 4? Yet when I call within business hours on a Saturday I still get the message that says I’ve called outside business hours, thus forcing me to drive directly to the bank to communicate. What’s next? Smoke signals?
Terrible service, any credit union can and should do better. Hopefully Coloramo takes this seriously and will look for ways to better accommodate customers outside of business hours and answer their phone during business hours.
