Recently purchased a 2018 Nissan from a dealership. The finance rate they(the dealership) gave me seemed high for my credit score. I did have a little bit of negative equity from my previous car loan, which I figured was the reason for the high rate.
A few months back, I had refinanced my credit card debt to a fixed rate loan with Credit Union of the Rockies, so I thought to try with my vehicle too.
After registering the vehicle, I contacted my credit union. Devon in the Granby office was beyond helpful.
They were able to reduce my rate by 6%, and monthly payment by $100!!
I'm so happy to be saving on the car I love.
Bonus points: they had Gap coverage for the loan at a much cheaper price, which makes me feel even more secure. Knowing my loan will be covered if something happens to the vehicle is priceless.
The whole process with the credit union was fast and painless. They had a very short list of needed items, and once I got those to them, received the approval next day.
They even made options for signing digitally! So easy.
I will always come back to my favorite Credit Union.

The Credit Union of the Rockies staff were incredibly helpful while I helped my father with his finances and accounts. In particular, Robert Stroud took great care of my dad's banking needs, answering multiple questions and requests... which carried over after my dad's move to Seattle and subsequent move to Michigan. We had to correspond over phone and email, but then again, everyone did during COVID. After my dad passed away last year, Robert helped us close his account. For over 25 years, my dad was loyal to Credit Union of the Rockies, and now I understand why.

I just have to say that the Credit Union of the Rockies! The folks that work there are fabulous! Sarah has helped me with many different loans and getting accounts ready and she always does it with a smile. I love working with the folks at the credit union because they all make you feel like family! Thank you guys for everything that you do!

They recently stopped working with 3rd party sites so the card won't work anymore on a lot of things, especially anything investing related. I asked if buying a visa gift card is considered a 3rd party purchase. The first person slammed the phone on me and the 2nd person said they don't know about policy related issues and made no effort to find out, I guess I'll have to find out the hard way, this is the 1st time I've gotten bad customer service from here and now I in light of their new absurd policy, unless I can get a visa gift card for making certain purchases, I'm going to have to look to bank somewhere else. I really liked this credit union for a long time

CU-Rockies pulled through huge with an extenuating circumstance that hit our family. My Jeep burnt to the ground and we were in need of a new family vehicle ASAP. Loan Officer Matthew Odou provide an extremely professional experience and was able to expedite our loan request within a matter of hours! Matthew advised us on all the options available that we had with different interest rates and time periods for loans that worked with our income. Awful credit union to deal with. Charged $5 per month due to inactivity on an account without alerting me. Customer service is rude and unhelpful when I called to address. Take your money to another bank or credit union.
