The worst! Nadia, neglected to send me the Closing Disclosure (CD) until the day before the scheduled close at 8:33pm. The problem with that is that Federal law requires a waiting period of at least three (3) business days before the loan is allowed to close. This meant that it was legally impossible for us to close on-time, which meant that we had to beg the seller to extend the contract, otherwise we would have done all of the work it takes to buy a home, which is A LOT, for nothing and we would have had to start all over again. The seller was under no obligation to do so and completely ignored our repeated requests.
This incident left us homeless with 2 pets because we had just moved all the way across the country with our stuff, reasonably expecting that we would close on-time. Praise the Lord that the seller finally agreed to extend the close date and that our realtor paid for our hotel while things were sorted-out (apparently he failed to keep tabs on that too, because it has never happened to him before, but he did right by us to make up for his mistake).
In spite of everything we were going through, Nadia never once said that she was sorry or even pretended like she was. I even asked her, "You don't even seem at all sorry that we might lose this home and that we'll now be homeless with our pets, even though it's 100% your mistake that put us in this spot...are you at all sorry?" Silence. My wife and I looked at each other in complete disbelief that somebody could be so heartless.
We had been extremely responsive to ALL of their requests from the very beginning, just to make sure that they were NEVER waiting for anything from us. I even emailed our lender, Jason, a week before closing, to make sure that we were good to close on-time and somehow they still screwed it up. You would think that he'd be apologetic about it and/or hold her accountable for such a major mistake, but nope! He was just as rude and arrogant as she was.
This was one of the most stressful situations I've ever experienced in my entire life. The good news is that I know that my wife really loves me because she saw me at my worst that week and yet had my back all the way.
How they can treat anyone like this, especially a veteran (which they apparently "specialize" in serving them), was shameful. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. I wish I could give them zero or negative stars.
