Most likely the worst amscott in this area. I went in to cash 4 money orders and was refused. The cashier (also the manager) advised she couldn’t even tell me why. So you work in a place with either little to no communication or you were just refusing to tell me. Alright, that’s fine I called the 800 number so they tell me it’s due to me just verbally saying I tried to deposit the funds into my online bank (capital one). Capital one does not accept money orders through their online checking system. So nothing ever went through. The man on the phone advised to go back in and call my bank and have a representative talk to the “manager”. So I do just that, I call capital one, I get the representative to tell her that it’s literally impossible to deposit this money order unless it’s mailed in, he advised her there was no successful attempt to deposit the money into any account, there was no atms in my area to deposit the only way I could is if I send the physical copy to their mailing address. So even after all that she tells me, sorry we still can’t take it because we don’t know what account you were trying to deposit it into.
I’ve been saying “manager” because as a manager of a financial establishment she should know that it’s next to impossible to deposit a money order electronically, most banks require the physical copy, I actually am not even aware of a bank that doesn’t. So this whole ordeal took more than 2 hours, I was refused service countless times, I just moved and needed the money ASAP, but instead had to open a local bank account and deposit it there to transfer it to my bank. I was going to do that step regardless but I needed cash in hand because it’s a little hard to pay for gas and groceries with money orders.
So basically don’t go here if you have more that one money order and those money orders go above 500 dollars or else they are too afraid to handle it and due to their fear they’d rather make you look like a criminal. Made me remember why I stopped using amscott to begin with.

Would rate Zero if I could. Called and asked about a notary public service, was told the charge was $3 per stamp, when we got there, about 15 minutes after the call, was told at the window that it was $10 per stamp, totally unacceptable. Free money orders ... NO, it costs you your private information, they want your SSN, Not a chance !!! I would never use Amscot services

I get told one thing on the phone with customer service and the opposite when I visit this location. This store needs to get on the same page as the rest of the company and maybe act like they are there to work. Lazy and unprofessional.

They help me save gas with the bill paying services. I can handle a lot of my bills in one place and I don't have to waste time or fuel going to different companies and standing in several lines. Very convenient. 😎 …
