I was traveling from another state and mistakenly left my ATM card back home and didn't know the pins for my credit cards. I needed cash for tolls and parking so I was forced to send a Western Union transfer to myself. This place is not a normal Western Union, it's one of those places that prey's on low income people and pay day loans. They told me I couldn't get the mere $100 that I sent to myself without filling out a membership form, which no doubt they will share my information with solicitors looking to prey upon me. The attitudes from the workers carried that, "I am better than you" persona. Most likely eminating from dealing with low income people. My advice would be is to stay away from this place and take your business elsewhere.

They refused to give me money that a friend sent me by western union. Multiple times. I Jumped through a dozen fake and ridiculous security questions yet they delayed and delayed , made excuse after excuse and refused and refused to release money sent to me. Its a good thing it wasnt an emergency. They should have their franchise revoked.

Terrible customer service at this location I asked for a money order to exchange bills & was told that was a waste of time & they would not service me, Its a reason I always drive past here thumbs down

Rude for no reason and judgmental. Was denied a cash advance because I had a negative balance in my bank account which was why I was there! That was the only time I’ve ever been asked to provide proof of a positive balance. The manager told me I had to bring my balance out of the negatives and provide proof. I got on the phone and asked my friend for money to bring my account into a positive balance. After providing proof of a positive balance he still denied me and told me to come back the next day and did not give me a reason why, he didn’t feel he had to give me one. Now I just borrowed money because he said he’d approve me for a cash advance and now I can’t pay it back. I rode my bike a few miles to the next amscot and was provided with a cash advance no problem. They look for reasons not to help you. Skinny elderly male with glasses and a thick accent appeared to be the manager on day shift. Will never come back to this one again. Oh yeah and the chairs in the lobby are gross.

This place is a joke. After they told me it would outrageously be $80 to cash a personal check, I stood there while she smacked her gum clicking on her computer keyboard for over 15 minutes. After not acknowledging me, I asked if there was a problem and she said she was just waiting on a password to verify the check! I went there out of convenience and instead it was a rip off and waste of time! They never cashed my check!! Brutal customer service as well.

I was very dissatisfied with my stop there, I have been along time customer with Amscot and I was told that my last four of my checking account was not correct. I been with my bank for over 20 years it has not changed and was told that it was not correct. I was also told that there was something different on the computer screen ??? ( really ) so I screen shotted my statement which had the same last four of my bank account I gave to the rep. there. Now if what they had on the screen did not match with what I told them and what was on my statement why was the advance process? When I ask why I was told there was a giltch, to me that was a way to avoid the question. I found this very unprofessional.
