If you want to get scammed this is the place to come to. I brought a $2,000 chain/pendant. They told me the chain was fake, and tried offering $200 for a solid gold 14k pendant with diamonds. This place is so desperate to score they will literally rob you of your jewelry. I brought it over to a real jewelry store and they told me the pendant alone is worth $1500! Don’t buy or sell here, I’ve warned ya.
Reply to owner: actually this is the right place. The person who attended me was a young black woman that had her child there with her. The jeweler I purchased this piece from told me of this typical scam pawn shops usually pull, and told me to take it to a real jeweler. And that’s exactly what I did! Deny it if you want, but I have proof I was there.

The sales staff at the Venice location know nothing about the jewelry, no details on the diamonds at all. How can you justify pricing your diamond rings at such high prices when you can't give details on the diamond quality, size, etc? Asked to speak to the owners and I was told they were off site owners. Lost a possible sale for 2K! Went down the street to Venice Gold Buyers. Much more knowledgable about their jewelry and more reasonably priced too!

Went in with 80 oz of silver. And they offered me a an insulting 10 bucks per oz which is half the value of my bullion collection, current spot price as of this review is 22 an ounce… I went down the street to Venice Gold Buyers and they gave me 19 bucks an oz.
If you’re looking sell your bullion, stay as far away from this place as possible. They will try and rip you off and make it seem like their offer is what every pawn shop in the area is offering. I’m walking out with 1600 bucks at Venice Gold Buyers when I could’ve been walking out with 800 bucks if I sold to this place. Making profit is one thing, but trying to screw people over is another. Especially when they’d turn around after buying it from you and sell it for over 5 bucks over spot making 15 bucks profit per oz. Again. Stay away.

I moved here from NY and brought way too much stuff! The folks at Loan Star gave me a good price for my extra stuff. Then I bought some beautiful jewelry for wife. The store is clean and beautiful. They are fair and friendly.

I was there when they took over. The 1st month. I pawned a chop saw and angle grinder. Only gave me $20. It was all clean. When I picked it up it had saw dust all over it and the saw dust catcher was half full. Some one used it! For remodeling their new establishment. I tried a $400 lap top a month later and only offered $25. They go by e-bay price's not what things are really worth. I went to value pawn off of bee ridge and gave me a substantial greater value. Over $100. Ha! Go if you want antiques. They have to make money somehow.

Tammy and Jim were very professional very kind and very helpful. Went in bought a fishing pole and they hooked it up. I would definitely check out this pawn shop if your in the area they have a huge selection of everything and it’s very fairly priced.
