We recently moved to Dubuque and opened an account at GreenState Credit Union. Molly Carpenter assisted us through the process and was so friendly and helpful! We were waiting for a wire transfer, and she was great at keeping us informed of its deposit. Her personalized service was outstanding, and I'm happy to be a part of the GreenState CU family!

My son actually encouraged us to join this credit union after he moved his accounts there after a poor experience with another credit union So in 2019, I began banking with Green State Credit Union in Dubuque, IA, when we refinanced our home. Robyn helped us through the process and we had a fantastic rate and a great experience. Since then, we have financed 2 vehicles, an RV and a home equity loan through them. Being old school, I actually go to the bank every week. Starts each week with Vanessa helping me with transfers at the front desk, Brady who makes sure everything is going ok with their service, Adam and Nate who assist me with getting the types of funds I require and ends with Kyle. Kyle feels like my personal banker who handles all my refinancing and financing needs but also talk long term financial goals with me. I ENJOY going to this bank. They always want to know how the teams I coach are doing, how work is and how the family is. I wholeheartedly recommend Green State Credit Union for their service but mostly the people!

I got approved for a car loan from you guys. For $17,000. No problem. First car loan ever. The car was worth $27000 but I traded in my 2020 Malibu that was paid off in CASH. So o got credited for that. The car I have now currently stoped working yesterday. All kinds of electrical issues. Gonna be over $4000 to fix it. I’ve been paying on a loan with you guys. Making my payments, paying more than the payments, paying early. No late charges NOTHING. Went to see if I could add to my loan to get a new vehicle and you guys denied me! For no reason at all. Now I’m stuck with a $15000 loan on a car I can’t drive. Won’t even let me trade it in for an equal value car! You guys are clearly all about money and not helping people! I will not give you guys a good review! Now I have to pay almost $600 a month for a car so I can go to work and pay my bills! As a single mother of 2 working a $15/hr job! All because I’m paying on interest and haven’t paid that off yet! Haven’t even made any payments to the car cause you guys want your interest paid off first!!! What a joke. I should have listened to people when they told me you guys were a joke. I will be giving bad reviews to you guys and NOT RECOMMENDING THIS BANK.

Beware of Robin McEnany!! I was told to pay 30k on my credit, and I saved 40k in my account at Green State. Robin McEnany still referred me to outside help, where they help me!! If you're serious about a home loan don't waste your time with Robin McEnany!!

I made a stupid mistake and didn't get my insurance transferred from my old vehicle to my new vehicle. I was not aware that this occurred, or that this credit union was going to force pay insurance. When someone called me and left a message, I called back and had to leave a message. No one ever called me back. Every time I have called this institution, I have not gotten a return call. For 34 days without proper insurance, I was charged over $2000. Now I am not stupid enough to drive without insurance, it was an honest mistake. This is the worst experience with a financial institution I have ever had. They need to overhaul their customer service policies and procedures. It was my mistake, but doing this without calling me beforehand is reprehensible.
