Fraud protection is insufficient. Multiple identical transactions in a short time processed through our account. My husband was initially told it was his responsibility to contact the company responsible for the fraudulent charges to try and get them to reverse the charges that we had no role in making. We have now been told it will be handle, but it may take 7-14 days for the money to be returned to our account. That is an unacceptable time frame for charges that should have been blocked from the start. When I've experienced fraudulent charges with other financial institutions, it is handled rapidly by the institution, and the funds are immediately deposited. I expected better from a credit union, particularly a local one.

Hello,
I went to deposit/cash a check for $3500 in this branch from a reputable source (Carmax) from bank (Wells Fargo) and was told the amount/check type needed to be put on hold for roughly a week (minus the measly $200 you give the day after the deposit). Okay. fine. You have policies in place to “protect me and you”. Last time I checked it is MY MONEY.
Flash back to 3 months ago and this same branch was able to deposit/cash a $5000 two party check for me with no questions asked. Who’s making the rules here? Apparently they change as frequently as your employees.
I had two accounts (personal and business) and have been a customer for 5 or more years. I’m very disappointed in the fact that an exception couldn’t have been made in this case. I asked to speak with the branch manager Rose but was waived over to another associate as if I wasn’t important enough. Shortly after hearing they couldn’t help me I closed one of my accounts and will soon be closing the others. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
The associates were very kind helping me close my account.

Been with them a number of years. Mainly the Grinnell branch. They can't seem to keep workers more than a day. Was almost constantly new faces every time I went in there. Unfortunately a majority of them were young ladies that seemed bored and annoyed that someone was bothering them. I moved to oskaloosa a few months ago. This branch seems a little more professional. Fingers crossed! As others have said, the customer service line is a bunch of rude people that should be working at McDonalds.

The online mortgage system is a joke. I filled it out and accepted electronic consent to sign the documents. And waited and waited went through all my emails and had nothing to fill out and no pre approval letter then I saw I had to emails letting me know I could ask them questions. I have no questions you have sent me 0 documents to fill out on the website portal you had me make an account for what's the point of the portal where you can fill out documents in site if your just going to send them through the email. What kind of convoluted system is this. I accepted electronic signing JUST SEND THE DOCUMENTS YOU NEED ME TO FILL OUT ON THE PORTAL YOU HAD ME MAKE AN ACCOUNT ON.

Being a member since I was 14 when it was John Deere Credit Union and eventually as I recall, becoming Community 1st Credit Union. I'm extremely disappointed! The way they handled my unfortunate circumstances back in March of 2020, right after the World Went Crazy, was the most heartless actions towards a member! Several of the ladies that work or have worked there are great people! As for the ones working in higher positions at a different location, shame on you! Just had the state my opinion because I believe I was wronged in more ways than one!

Great associates! Great place to bank! They truly care about their customers and fully work with their clients! I'd rate 6 stars if I could!
