My husband and I reached out to Cindy Jones when looking for preapproval for a mortgage. We were first-time homebuyers that were a bit clueless about the process and found Cindy to be helpful over the phone and through email. We were a bit frustrated, though, in that she seemed unwilling to assist us after seeing that our student loans were in automatic forbearance due to the CARES Act/COVID. Our last word from her said she'd get back to us on something - and then we never heard from her again.
We gave up on Centier Bank and reached out to another national bank. We were able to work with someone who understood the CARES Act situation and we had no problems obtaining a conventional loan mortgage. I'm not sure why Cindy/Centier couldn't help us but another bank could.
