I've been at this bank for years.
Pros: The employees have always been nice. I also like that with a Kasassa account, I get $8/month.
Cons: No mobile deposit. A new card cannot be printed on-site and takes a while to arrive by mail. I recently went through a 2 week period when my debit card wasn't working online or on apps. I work in a hospital and can't leave, so I order food at times and was unable to. When I called to ask why, I was told that they had a new debit card company and couldn't do anything about it and that it could just continue to happen. Also, going back about 5 years ago, I purchased a car from a dealership and later realized my high interest rate was because an employee put my loan in as a personal rather than auto loan. I have since got a new loan elsewhere for a fraction of the interest rate.

Absolutely love this credit union. I have belonged to it since I was a teenager. They are always so nice and welcoming. They answer all my questions and treat me well.

Front office staff at the Portage branch is nice and you get a decent interest rate on checking accounts, but thats where the positives end. Horrible tech with a mobile app that's barely functional and uses archaic security practices. It's astounding that they havent figured out how online banking works yet. Can't even connect financial management applications to our accounts. What financial institution doesnt support that in this day and age??? Their loan department is an absolute joke. We've received rude voicemails from their loan staff regarding issues that were their fault. When this was addressed with the branch manager, nothing was done about it. Doing something as simple as applying extra payments to the principal balance of our car loan, turns into a complex web of phone calls back and forth with them and they still apparently can't figure that out either.
Save yourself the hassle find a modern credit union, because this place is stuck in 2003.
