SUPER unreliable, very unprofessional and not trust worthy AT ALL. They charge the most for fees and then tell you that they cant loan you the money after months of no contact. If you have money you dont want anymore bank with 5th 3rd, they will besure to take it from you.. DO NOT BANK WITTH 5th 3rd!!!!!

Due to my mistake an adjustment was made on a deposit we made into a fifth third account of ours. The deposit was a check written from our account at another bank, Terre Haute Savings Bank. Fifth third deducted full amount from our THSB account but as of 23 days later has never sent the adjusted amount back to us. We have went into this location and been told it is a THSB problem and to talk to them.
THSB has bent over backwards tracking this down and found that fifth third has not sent the appropriate credit through the FED. Not only have we made multiple phone calls and branch visits, THSB staff has also made calls to Fifth Third and even conferenced us in on a call to fifth third customer service that didn’t end until 5:45 pm.
Everything we have tried with fifth third has failed. I’m stunned that nobody within this organization locally or at the customer service center has the ability to say “I can help with this and this is how we can help” instead the employees at the branch snipped at me because “they had already explained it to my wife” and “I have 11 years of banking experience.” We just get “it isn’t our (fidth third’s) fault” which as we have found out from the FED it sure as hell is the fault of fifth third!!! It doesn’t take 23 days to move a credit.
So After decades of being a fifth third customer I’m done. When we return to Terre Haute next week we will be closing our accounts. Our business will no longer be split, all of our business will be with Terre Haute Savings Bank!

If I could give this bank zero stars I would. Always understaffed due to bad management. Such a waste of time for a business to bank here because they make so many mistakes. They NEVER answer the phone which is terrible customer service.Take your business elsewhere.

We are selling our home and our buyer is going through this branch, we are still waiting to close almost three months after accepting an offer. All they ever have is excuses as to why it is taking so long. Everything has been in and done just waiting on them for weeks!! Today's excuse is they are trying to figure out how much taxes are with a VA exemption and without... seriously we are three months into this thing and this is what is holding you up!! Unprofessional, no communication, and SLOW!!!

I have an annount at the fifth/third bank on wabash in indiana. I went there today 6/11/21, and asked them to cash a check for me. They wouldn't cash the check, and mafe me deposit it into my account. Then they tell me I can't have a penny if it until the next day.

I have not previously had issues with Fifth Third bank. This past week my bank account numbers were somehow compromised and several purchases were made on my account without my consent. The dispute process took a few days due to the transactions being pending and not posted yet. I was able to file my dispute but there seems to be no efficient process for recovering my lost funds and the two representatives I spoke with gave me very lengthy timelines for recovering my money. I would like to see some improvements in this process. Also the only recourse that was offered in a timely manner was ‘get our credit card through fifth third ’ or ‘get an advance through fifth third’ I didn’t need either of those options but if that was my only option, it’s unfortunate that the ye bank would use the fraudulent charges on my account as a potential money making opportunity. I am disappointed.

The Fifth Third bank on 3rd and Wabash is the best Bank in town! Would recommend to everyone. I have personally banked at several institutions over the years and Fifth Third is, hands down, the best.
