I opened a checking account here within the last month, and it wasn’t off to a good start. The young lady who opened my account was unpleasant to be around; she always had an attitude or hateful appearance and the energy of the room was awkward in her presence. You weren’t able to set up your own e-statements or online banking; they had to do it for you. Right before I was planning on closing my account, I was charged a fee for using their bill pay service, which I hadn’t been using to begin with. While in the bank explaining the wrongful charge, they were understanding and aware the charge was made in error. I was told by one of the tellers they would refund the charge, but then, when they thought I wasn’t paying attention because I was looking at my phone, teller a told teller b I was closing my account entirely, and on the sly they decided that was reason enough to be deceiving and not refund the false charge to my account.
