If I could rate it -5 stars I would. I was greeted by a rude non professional lady by the name of ‘Neicy’. She was not helpful with clarifying how to upload documents in details. Instead I was re-routed to customer service who had more knowledge and correct link on how to go about the process. During filling out the credentials, she was rude enough to start humming while clicking away. The customer service rep on the other line had to ask “whose humming”. Which is also very unprofessional. After uploading all necessary documents, and reaching to the finalization stage. 10minutes before I had to come in and sign papers. I received a call stating the loan didn’t go through. A complete waste of time, hard inquiry pulled TWICE! Because of misinformation. ‘Neicy’ needs more professional training to do her job. Especially when handling sensitive information. Now I’m stuck with writing to the credit bureau to remove the hard inquiries. Im in the process of gathering information and providing it to the locations director and reporting this to BBB.

FOR SOLE PROPRIETORS...The branch manager knows what she is doing. Deal with only her. Have them run your financials (pay stubs, taxes, etc.) before they do a hard pull on your credit so you don't end up with an inquiry on your report if you get denied.
Went through the whole process only to be declined because I'm a sole prop and they based my income off of 2020 taxes where I reported a loss (one of the worst years in recent history for small businesses) not my current bank statements (where I'm in the black) which I provided which clearly can show I can repay the loan.
Crazy thing is they take a little rinky dink pay stub from an individual as proof of income but not actual bank statements from your bank account as a sole prop. Foolishness at best.
Save yourself the hard pull on your credit and have them run your paperwork first.

Good morning Timothy,
I have not missed one payment with One Main Financial at all and I was called about doing a modification for current customers to help with COVID-19 payments. I was told that this would not affect my credit and also received an email from One Main saying that they would not put any negative remarks on any customers accounts during this Pandemic. I paid all my modifications payments and did not miss one payment at all. I am in the process of buying a home and my credit score was 750 but your company but a negative remark on my credit saying I have a modification and then my credit score dropped 75 points which will prevent me from getting the loan for my new home. I have called in and done everything that your team has suggested I do including paying off the modification to remove this negative remark. This negative remark has still not been removed from my credit as of today as I was told it would be by several people which I have dates and names of each person I have spoken with.
I have been working with Mariah the branch manager to get this resolved and she has been very helpful. Unfortunately it has not been removed and I know she has done all she can to get this resolved. I need your help to get this resolved today I am going to loose the home I worked hard to get and my deposit which will not be refunded. When I started the application process a couple months ago this negative remark was not on my credit it was just put on my credit within the last month. Please I am asking as a great customer for you to step in and get this resolved today. I worked too hard to loose my home now as I have already put in notice at my current home and I have two children I am responsible for. Put yourself in my shoes right now and think about how devastating this will be for you and your family.
I am reaching out one last time to get this remark removed today from my credit and I will need confirmation that it has been done or I will have to take next steps which include getting my attorney involved and contacting the better business bureau.

I've had an account here for over 4 years. I opened them when it was ran professionally and appropriately. Unfortunately, there is a new manager who has by far, the worst customer service skills I've ever seen. Being in the customer service industry myself, I know that first and foremost, if you do not have customers, you do not have a job. I have no clue how this woman, Krystal Goldsmith became a manager. She not only left myself and another customer waiting while she explained something to her co-worker for more than 10 minutes but she was unpleasant and rude. I've had 2 loans in the last 4 years and have only been late one time in that time frame. It is customary amongst companies to give a courtesy refund once a year for a late payment. I called the office before my grace period was up to inform them I would be bringing a check to pay off the entire balance. Since the check was being mailed to me, it unfortunately was 2 days past my grace period. When I asked her to refund the fee she flat out refused. I would not recommend going to the La Plata One Main Financial if it were the last establishment on earth lending money. Please do your homework on their insanely high interest rates. If you enjoy paying back 10x more than you borrowed and being treated like trash, then go see Krystal Goldsmith.

This place has gone down they waste your time lie to you make you wait A hour before the manger comes in and says we’re not going to do a loan for you beacause of your attitude after they lied and said everything was done . It was because they couldn’t figure out what they were doing . Shame Niecey is no longer here she had everything done and was straight forward if they couldn’t help you. Stay away from here run away as fast as you can attitudes and have no clue what they are doing
