Not cooperative. Don't return phone calls or follow up on paper work
Nor will they do a simple task like telling my wife her remaining balance on her mortgage. Very un customer friendly bank
Cannot recommend.

First Shore is amazing and extremely helpful. Their loan department is the best I’ve dealt with after buying and selling many properties over the years. I highly recommend!

After dealing with the aggravation of two big name banks, with their automated phone systems, never getting the same person twice, not calling me back, not sending out requested paperwork, I renewed my IRA CD with FSF for a slightly lesser rate because of the stellar service!

Horrible communication and customer service. This is a very antiquated bank that takes an inordinate amount of time to process anything. There seems to be no critical thinking and common sense used when requesting information. For example, why do we need to provide additional proof of employment when we've already provided pay stubs? If an organization is paying me, it's clear that they are also employing me. I have never had a bank request so much unnecessary information. We had two people working on our loan go on vacation without notifying us that they were gone -- just radio silence. Purchasing a home is time-sensitive, but this bank clearly doesn't care about that. We've purchased several homes over the years and never had this miserable of an experience.

I've banked with First Shore Federal for over 2 years, and unfortunately am closing my account due to the very poor customer service I received from the "Main Office" in Salisbury. I had been banking with the Pocomoke branch, who always provided excellent customer service. I needed statements pulled for the 2017 CY, and I was told it would be a $5 fee for the dates I asked from the Pocomoke branch. When I arrived to pick my statement up, I was told it was actually $5 per statement, so $60. I told them that was not was I was told, and I won't accept the statements. Pocomoke tried to have the fees reversed, but they are at the mercy of the "Main Office" who declined to waive any fees. I followed up with Sheryl Young at the Main Office. I explained that $5 is a fee I'm willing to pay for the convenience of pulling account records, but the actual cost of $60 was never provided to me nor would I have accepted such a steep price just to have account information for a previous year. Most other banks provide this to their customers via internet, and it's free. I was told that I received a disclosure statement in the main about the costs of banking when I opened my account, and they would not be waiving any fees. Apparently $60 is more important to First Shore Federal than keeping their customers and addressing the issue of properly educating their staff on fees. DONT BANK HERE, go with a credit union that is much more flexible with fees, and is up to date with current technology (First Shore Federal Business Accounts don't even offer debit cards for their checking).

I can only give 5 stars, but this is a 10-star review for the outstanding service I received from Randy, Rachel, and Tony. There are numerous factors that make up exceptional customer service and these folks exhibit them unequivocally: professionalism, prompt and clear communication, problem resolution, thinking-outside-the box, and exceeding expectations to name a few. I live in TX, and the mobile home is located in DE, so the entire process was completed over 1,400 miles. Yet, it was as if I was already in Millsboro. The Millsboro branch prides itself as a community institution and it delivers excellence every step of the way. Buying a home is stressful, but Randy, Rachel and Tony went out of their way to make the process as easy and seamless as possible…thank you so much! Make First Shore Federal your first call. You’ll be so glad you did!
