Super great staff. I had to change bank and my girlfriend recommended me Southern Michigan Bank& Trust because she has an account with them. I wanted in and they had my account all set up in no time. Everyone was polite and super nice. I wish I can give more star to this bank but 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️will have to be.

Nice Bank to do business with. Answering service use by the bank need to be retrain on how to present a positive attitude when asked a question, instead of making you feel like you bathers her when asking a question. My review is based on two times when I called to ask important question to me. I will like for the manager to monitor the call to verify the situation.

Be careful with this bank!!! They take money from your accounts and put fees that don’t apply on all of your accounts. I had to call them multiple times about fees that did not apply to my accounts and they only refunded it one time. Workers are also very rude and do not listen to what you tell them.

Well like it's been said in the comments why would you post the call center's hours and not the actual banks hours. I'm not trying to make it to the call center to cash my check or deposit some cash or pay bills. What in the world are the bankers hours anyway. I thought it was globally 9 to 5. Now it's whenever the hell they feel like working. No wonder so many of these financial institutions are going under. Better straighten up that open and closed sign before it's permanent. Just saying. Other than this I've had no encounters yet with this bank.

I am a new customer of SMBT and love this bank! They were incredibly helpful as I transferred my accounts. Every encounter I have with the staff has been very positive.

I have banked here for 23 years. The employees and services have been perfectly fine, however - this company has just begun implementing (and steadily increasing!) a monthly service fee for accounts holding less than $100 as a balance. IN THE MIDDLE OF A MASSIVE ECONOMIC RECESSION. I can think of nothing more predatory or unneighborly than taking money from those with the least in our community. Moving my accounts immediately and I'll never be back.
