The Hemlock branch of this credit union has to be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any credit union throughout the United States. I recently moved from Michigan to California, and I decided to keep this credit union because of how easy it was. My debit card recently expired, and they still had my old address on file. They had to send me a new one since it was never updated in their system. I explained the situation to them and talked to the manager, and they refused to waive a simple five-dollar debit card replacement fee. When I spoke to the manager, Mary, she was insulting and unhelpful and even blamed me for the situation when their system never updated it when I filled out the change of address form. I was about to close my account with this credit union, but one of the tellers recommended I speak to Mary‘s boss at the Shields branch. When I talked to the manager over there, they were more than happy to send me a new debit card and even updated my address in the system on my behalf. Do not go to this branch for this credit union; the short drive to the Shield branch is far worth it. I don’t know how Mary got the manager position at this branch, but I would never work with her, and she needs customer service training because of the level of rudeness I experienced from her. If she were my employee, she would be out that day.
