I just want to make my mortgage payment... It has proven to be a very difficult task with Fifth Third. I got locked out of my account as soon as I created one because the only phone # on the account to verify has been inactive for 10+ years (childhood home phone), no idea why that was automatically applied to my account instead of letting me provide my current phone # when I created the new account with my personal mortgage account number. I had to go into the branch to fix this issue. I return home to log in and make my payment and get another error message - cannot verify the device. I've been on hold for over an hour now waiting to talk to a third member of their customer support team. In my experience, they do not call back around the promised time if you choose to let them call you back and not stay on hold. The last representative I talked to provided me with a one time 17 digit number and transferred me to another line so I could create a 4 digit pin. As soon as I entered the 17 digit number I was just provided minutes ago, it said it was no longer valid as it has a time expiration. So frustrated with this entire process. I would never choose Fifth Third if it was up to me and cannot recommend based on experience. On the plus side, the staff at this local branch are friendly.

I had never had an issue with 5/3 really. That is, if you bank there and don't interact. Recently I went to withdraw the funds from my account and they wouldn't let me at first. They talked about all of their latest deals on CD's and whatnot and stood in the way of me closing out my account. When I finally told them for the millionth time that I was closing out my accounts (because my new FI's rates are better), they sent me across town to another 5/3 bank. I would recommend going elsewhere for banking

I have been dealing with a mortgage issue with 5/3rd since July 2020. Had mortgage with them since June 2012 which I did not miss a single payment. I had money in my account for numerous months. I spoke with Thomas on 7/9/20 which he told me my July mortgage would be manually pulled. Had faith to have it resolved. I was in the middle of divorce and just recently laid off due to COVID. Didn't look in my account till November to close on my house, looked at my credit score and saw that I had 4 missed payment all of which 5/3rd did not pay my mortgage for July even though money was in account. 5/3rd pulled money from my account to pay for August, September, October, etc. since money already in account but couldn't for July. I then spoke with Ambrea (spelling?) on 11/19/20 which she said a letter would be sent to credit bureau and that 5/3rd would acknowledge fault. It's now 2/19/2021 and NOTHING has been sent to me nor credit. I have tried to communicate with customer service but every time I get a different individual and I have re-explain my story. Greg Carmichael needs to be made aware of the poor customer service! I wish I could give 5/3rd zero stars!!!
Update 3/1/2021: Thanks for the reply. I called that number and was on the phone for 71 minutes. I spoke with two individuals. Each one I had to re-explain my situation. The last individual even offered me to speak with her supervisor...after 20 minutes on hold she couldn't get ahold of that person. How sad is that? You suggested this number and still not resolved! Horrible customer service!

I go to Gull Road and everyone at the front desk is fantastic. Ambrea has helped me numerous times with issues and the business setting seems to be very family oriented (which is lovely). I feel very welcomed and they surpass excellence to help me as a client. Thank you all!
