I’m planning on closing my account today. I’ve had nothing but headaches with this place. They never answer the phone, my one biggest problem is their debit cards. Everywhere I went my card was declined, including their own ATM, but after decline I went to Independence ATM and had no problem.
With all these bad reviews, where is the manager to oversee these problems and correct them? Has he/she gone AWOL also???

really a lack of compassion and human heart caring. My main credit union is out of state but I still lean on them for the most part for their kind responsiveness and efforts to help build peoples' lives up, starkly different in the case of Bear Paw. Can't reach by phone even during business hours, no after hours customer service.

The fact that nobody is picking up the phone and then it hangs up on you after a couple of minutes. Im so disappointed with this bank.

Honestly, one of the worst places for Customer service. Every month I call the receptionist to pay my Credit card bill and every month it takes multiple times to get through. When the receptionist decides to pick up the phone I get transferred to the tellers and then it's another crap shoot. Will they pick up the phone?
I have had enough of their horrible customer service. I WILL be changing who I bank with and I WILL tell everyone I know not to bank through Bear Paw CU.
On a side note, their Mobile online banking is pretty basic. You can't pay your bills on it and you constantly have to update your security questions.
So basically, they have Horrible Customer service, I mean the worst I've dealt with. Their Mobile banking is a joke and don't even think about driving down there. No parking and the lines are sooooo long and only 2 tellers working. Reminds me of the USPS, and that's not a good thing.

A few tellers have been quite short/rude whenever I've called in, even hanging up before I try to say thank you. It takes way too long for somebody to answer the phone every single time I've called, and the ATM takes forever to read my card, and it's very frustrating!

Since Altana has taken over my card was hit right when it was turned on so shut it off didn't order new one, then when husband got his he didn't even use it he cut it up and cancelled it and it was hit for over $500 and Altana blamed us even when we weren't the customer anymore. Wish bear paw would've never sold to such a poor credit bureau. They charge for everything and this has came from so many customers I spoke too. Well I'm happy have a bank that is reliable and honest and won't lie or steal from us

This credit union has always been outstanding to work with. They understand our small town needs and have been right there every time we've needed help financially to make ends meet. They go out of their way to support our community and care about the success of said community. As, like any business, sometimes they are understaffed but you can't fault them for something that is happening community-wide.
