Been my bank since 2017. All together it's been a great bank. I once had an issue with the atm at the bank eating my money and not depositing it into my account and of course I freaked but after talking to the bank tellers the following business day and calling the customer service number they got me my money within 2 days and apologized and explained they were in the process of upgrading atms and that's More than likely the reason. They were super understanding of my frustration and made sure to make it right

I live in a small town Old Fort NC and we have no Branch the Bank corporation closed it in January, for customers we have to travel to BLK MTN or Forest City NC we Need our bank Back this is the ONLY reason for the 3 Star review so people can't get to the branches that are Left open! Bring our Branch back!!!!!!!

I know why it's called Fifth Third Bank now. It's a fifth of the service for a third of the cost. A customer of mine gave me a check for a completed job from this bank. I couldn't deposit this check at my bank without waiting five days for full funding. So, I drove 50 miles there and back to the Forest City branch. The first thing I was ask for was my driver's license and social security number. I understand the driver's license but not the SS number. I was told by the teller that she had to create a profile before cashing my check, or I could go to my bank and cash it. I didn't come here to be harassed. I didn't come here to have a profile created just to cash a check. I came here to get cash to pay my obligations on time, or I would have deposited the check in my bank. I sure hope the account holders are aware that the checks that are written to non-account holders are charged an unreasonable fee to cash their checks. In my case it was twenty-five dollars, way beyond the seven dollars most banks charge, if any charge. As for the profile to help with future Fifth Third transactions, delete it! I will not be back to your bank ! I will not accept payment in a check from this bank from anyone in the future. They will just have to make other arrangements. I now know why I was the only customer inside the bank with only two others at the drive-thru. If you want sour service, invasion of privacy and charged out the a$$, this is the bank!

I once came here when I was 20 and needed a paper signed for a college. I loved the service I got so much, I went there when I was 21 to open a checking account under my own name.

Appointment with Katherine Somerset on 3/2/23 to open a new account and transfer CD’s from another bank. She was extremely knowledgeable about different products to meet our financial needs and assisted in the transfer of funds. Ms Somerset was extremely professional and has followed up to see if we needed any further assistance. Great customer service!
