The personnel at the branch are friendly and professional. The problem is with the bank itself. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AVAILABLE ON THE PHONE. Since Bank of the West has closed down most of it's branches, many customers are dependent of phone support. I have been on hold for up to 4 hours with these clowns. Do not open an account with Bank of the West. I will be closing my accounts as soon as I can figure out my online banking at another institution. Bottom line: THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AVAILABLE ON THE PHONE.

The "good" review for the manager was surprising as I was charged an overdraft fee even though I opted out of overdraft service. I was charged over $200 in overdraft fees, when I talked to customer service they were able to cancel some of the overdraft fee since I was a long time customer and didn't opt in for overdraft, but the manager of this bank actually reversed the courtesy overdraft cancellation I received even though I explained I didn't even sign up for this service.Read the fine print because it says even if you opt out of overdraft, that still doesn't apply for automatic payments, and this bank doesn't even care or prtotect you if you rack up thousands in overdraft fees without your awareness after you opted out of such service. I personally wanted the bank to decline a charge if there wasn't enough in the bank acccount but that is not what happened, and I am now stuck with having to pay for a service I didn't sign up for.....

As of right now tomorrow I will no longer be customer under this bank. When I originally opened an account I was charged fees from them on one of my other accounts in another city. Also I have money within my account and they keep charging me overdraft fees even when I have plenty of money within the account. I would recommend going to First National or The Credit Union.

Great local bank. Everyone is always kind and helpful. Naomi was a superstar for me and went out of her way to help with a problem in a timely manner.
I must say, the 1 star reviews are surprising, as I’ve never had anything but great treatment in this bank over years of dealing with them.

The bank manager is kinda rude and the bank of the West itself is literally to small to have the perks of a bigger banks switched to first National Bank for better service, interest rates, and personality.
