I dont have loans but I work for nelnet and I think this is the best job I've ever had. I see reviews about bad pay but im above $20 an hour so idk where that comes from. The longest job I've ever had, 2 years now (I'm 24yrs old). They do alot of fundraising for the community and they honestly care about their employees. Of course there are some leadership you won't like at any job tho. Also they have a great attendance policy and they really work with me. I've also heard from people that we do have really good customer service and I know for me at least I got good training and go above and beyond to help customers.

Terrible company that is unwilling to do anything to help you. I have a student loan that had an old email address and physical address that have since changed. They made no attempts to contact me outside of the email address provided (that mind you does not work any longer because it doesn't exist), and instead sent my bill to collections. Meanwhile, I sent a letter to them asking to remove the negative mark on my credit report (I am trying to purchase a home) and they were unwilling to do so. Guess it doesn't matter to them because they aren't affected.

This a very large corporation that can use it's massive size to take advantage of individual borrowers. This company bought out my wife's student loan from another company and may have modified the legal terms of our previous loan agreement. This company also takes the unjust liberty to automatically put loans in forbearance/deferment without your consent. Please be vigilant my friends. I honestly hate to post negative reviews but due diligence and concern for my countrymen prompted this post.

Today's 5 hour and 38 minute call truly was "unprecedented" to say the least. A student loan payment took 8 business days to process, later than a second payment made 4 days later. The first payment already taken from my bank account still has not been reflected on my balance 2.5 weeks later. Once I helped support realize they effectively stole my money, I was told it would take up to 15 business days to correct. About two hours later on the call a supervisor informed me that timeline was incorrect and there was no timeline to properly reflect my account balance.
You had 3 years to prepare for payments resuming and several months since we knew there was no forgiveness. Your website fails to address important borrower questions, and your chatbot Sage conflicts with phone support saying you will NEVER ask for our social security number. Do better, your lack of preparedness and professionalism truly is unprecedented.

My repayment started in October. Set up autopay, but it told me it won’t be active in time for my first payment. No problem, I submitted a manual payment. Auto payment goes through anyways and I’m billed almost $900 for month 1. Called and asked to apply the payment to my next month and make all my loans due on the same day. Month goes by, still multiple due dates, payment has not been applied to this month, I have an outstanding balance due, and I just checked my bank account to see $700 has been pulled automatically when I authorized an auto payment of $400. My balance due was $280. Where are these numbers coming from? Why is there no consistency? Why do you not have an automatic system that pushes balance paid forward like every other loan provider I’ve ever interacted with? This company is clueless.

I am so frustrated and angry I could cry! Why is this happening to us! Clearly we are trying to do the right thing...I've sent three payments they have not processed and I payed 172$ that they still have not processed. I've worked hard to redeem and establish my credit. Take the darn money!!! I was on hold for 3hrs ar work had to hang up and now I've been waiting for 2hrs...what's the point of automatic draft?? These people are sabotaging us and I'm starting to think it's a conspiracy...guess we will have to drive to Nebraska to get answers! I'm calling the department of education these people have to be stopped. Me and my wife already got a lawyer I would advise you to all do the same. Something is off with this company and I'm making it a priority to get to the bottom of this.
