Absolutely awful company. My girlfriend had a car loan through them. It was the worst 2 years of our life. We finally traded our car in just so we dont have to deal with them anymore. They are rude, disrespectful, and just overall unprofessional. If you miss a payment because life happens sometimes. They talk down to you, belittle you, tell you that you need to "manage your finances like an adult" just absolutely unbelieveable. She got off the phone many times in tears because of how rude the girls are that work at this place. We made the mistake of not doing research on this company before purchasing the car. Todays the 1st day we are relieved and free from this place. And we will never ever get a loan through them ever again. And i advise everybody to stay away.

I was in desperate need of a new car. I had to get back and forth to work and my van was on its last leg. If I could turn back the hands of time and did research I would have ran so fast in the other direct. I made my payments on time and then my hours at work got cut. One of my coworkers caught COVID and since I have an infant with respiratory issues I had to cut back on hours. I work with a high volume of coworkers. Anyways, if I don’t make my payment on Monday these snobby chicks are calling me. It’s frustrating knowing that while in the middle of a global pandemic while struggling to stay afloat I fear that the vehicle I’m driving can possibly be taken away therefore taking away my only means to get to work. I have 5 kids. They target people who have low credit scores and than make them feel so little when they’re a few days behind. Even if it’s not the words the speak it’s the way they speak them. I can not wait to be done with them. I’ll NEVER recommend them. I’m about to give them a portion of my stimulus so I can save a few damn dollars these next few weeks. I hate this. It’s financial jail. I’m giving two stars because I’m not a jerk

My family lost our business of 7 years in the midst of this COVID pandemic. Prior to this, we had been customers of Clearwater Credit Company for 8 years. Now my family is really struggling, so instead of working with us when they knew we literally have next to nothing (went over financial questions with management), they decided to repossess my car. Loyal customers with on-time payments for 8 years with 3 prior vehicles didn't make a difference to them. I actually believe it was one of their supervisors, Sarah, that called me to trade in my previous vehicle early and get a newer one (the one they just took) and roll over that loan into this one. I will never again speak nicely of this company, nor recommend them to anyone. They might claim to help rebuild your credit, but they single handedly destroyed mine in the middle of a global pandemic. Thanks Clearwater, you guys are awful people.

These people are incompetent.
My mother passed away December 2013 from cancer after several hospitalizations.
Prior to her passing, she missed payments during those hospitalizations and this company harassed me every time, even though I told them that I a) did not cosign for this loan, and b) my mom was in the hospital, so leave me alone. I understand they needed their payment, but back off of ME.
Anyway, after she died and I was taking care of the details, I contacted Clearwater to inform them that she had passed and that there was no estate, and asked how to take care of the vehicle. They informed me that the would have the vehicle towed from her residence within a couple of weeks and send me a letter confirming they were going to just close the account, but that I needed to provide them with a copy of her death certificate. I immediately sent them one, and they picked the car up and sent me the letter.
For six months, they proceeded to call me, my 16 year old sister and other family members trying to get in contact with my mom and collect money. Every single time, I called them back and reminded them that she died, they closed the account and to back off. I told them that under no circumstances were they to ever call my minor sister again, as well.
All has been silent until today. 11/23/15 when I received mail addressed to deceased mother from this company attempting to collect on her account with threats of legal action.
GO AWAY.

I did not get a loan through this company. I wish I would have read the reviews before I applied for credit with clearwater at the dealership. I applied for a carloan after an unexpected life event. I decided not to continue with the application process. I called clearwater to cancel and the dealer. After being treated poorly when all I did was call Clearwater to confirm my application was cancelled at my request I decided to do a review of my experience. I just wanted to make sure it was cancelled. Clearwater reps were extremely rude to me both times that I called and on top of that kept directing me back to the dealer even though I'm the customer and had spoken to the dealer already. That's ashamed because of the huge market for people with less than perfect credit for various reasons. They could be doing great business but companies like this most likely don't to stay in business long and I wouldn't be surprised if they are sued by a class action suit in the future for how they treat people. Here is a tip Clearwater, if you want to do business with people regardless of how their credit is you should learn how to treat human beings, your owners and staff might find themselves on the side of less than perfect credit one day and someone might treat you badly the same as you are dishing it out. I didn't even purchase a vehicle with them and I'm writing a review, that should tell you something about them. They are unprofessional to the highest degree and I wish I would have read the reviews first. You also need to take customer service classes. Regardless of the type of business that you are, you still provide a service to customers and should be trained properly.

They are terrible charging low income single people high rates and high car payments they said they repo the car and tried to to stick me with the balance in 2019 never sent me a print out of the payments I did pay or what was sold at the auction would't go with them only went going to them only in last option at the time I needed to get back and forth to work
