Never take a loan from this bank! It took me 4 months to set up auto payment because the only way to do it was through snail mail and they took forever to respond to me because I didn't fill one thing out. Think that's bad enough? 4 months later they now have canceled their auto payment system. There are literally only 2 ways to pay my loan payment now, send a check through snail mail or call them and get charged a fee. This is the most backwards, outdated business I have ever seen. This is just for 1 loan! I can't believe anyone would trust this establishment with their money. I got charged 5 different fees while trying to set up the auto payment as well. So the little savings I got by taking their lower interest rate went right out the door within 4 months. Thieves and deceivers probably would have been better off going to a loan shark.
Update: They responded with an automated message saying customer service is their top priority..... What a joke. It took me calling them 5 times and filling out the same form twice to get auto payment set up over the course of months just for them to cancel it 4 months later. What is there to talk about automated response? I want auto payment for my loan! All you want is to charge customers more fees, hence why you stopped auto payments, lot more late fees that way. So yes, keep lying with automated responses to try and save face but do not call me and waste my time any further!

Worst banking experience ever. I lived in Interlaken and shortly after opening an account they closed the branch. I moved to Ithaca where there are no ATMs and limited hours of service. Now the branch in Ithaca is closed. On two occasions I've had multiple transactions charged twice. Then remain in pending charges for days at a time. I need a new bank!

Compared to every other bank I've used, interacting with Community Bank has been a pleasure. If you don't use cash often or if you can make it to the branch during the day (no zero-fee ATMs in town) .then I can't recommend them highly enough. Since they updated their online banking system it's been nothing but smooth sailing.

This is an excellent bank. They service our mortgage and send statements and other appropriate information on time. Their hours are clearly posted. We've always been served effectively and immediately when we've called.

The hour for the Ithaca branch are from 9-4pm Monday- Friday. Also for the phone issue this week we were having a phone issue. Hopefully this helps.
