New to the area, I went to set up a checking account at Key Bank in Lansing. Everyone I spoke with was pleasant, helpful, efficient, and welcoming. In fact, they suggested ways to make banking easier I hadn’t even thought of. A few months later, while balancing a different Key Bank checking account, I noted a deduction that was unauthorized. I contacted the manager, and he took care of it the next day, then followed up to make sure everything was all right. I couldn’t be more pleased with their service and highly recommend this branch.

The two gentlemen were very nice and helpful. I tried to open an account online but had some issues, then I made an appointment
and came in. They helped resolved issue and actually made some better suggestions. Very pleasant experience visiting the branch.

This is a horrible bank branch. Some employees great some questionable but the real problem is the feeling they could care less about the customers as a company. Terrible hours and since the takeover from first niagara ( pre pandemic) the branch is poorly staffed leading to long wait times. Also- how about some freaking saturday hours. For god sake this branch and the downtown might as well not exist to a working person who wants to come in. Cortland and auburn have sat hours and some days with longer hours so why cant ithaca???

Nothing wrong with this branch in particular. Actually the employees are really nice people. What the problem is since the takeover of first niagara by keybank there are charges on everything that were not there before apparently even using their atms. Ive gotten a number of new charges which I did not agree to and did not have before, out of nowhere. Also they are not honoring the overdraft stopping system first niagara and hsbc had (i bet this makes them a ton of money). So, great employees and a bad system behind it. I kinda hope someone good buys them and they keep all the current employees because honestly, I havent met a sub par one yet.

I have never had an extremely negative experience at a bank before. This was the first and last time I will go to this or any Keybank. The person there was incredibly rude not not to me, but also to her colleague that was having trouble assisting me with a deposit. It was incredibly unnecessary and unjustified
