They ask you when you create a checking account if you want your account to be able to overdraw and even if you say no it does it anyways. Over and over and over again even though everytime it happens and you say something to them about it they say they have fixed the problem but all they are doing is taking the overdraft fee off and your still out whatever the payment that was trying to go through. Now I have to switch all my direct deposits to go somewhere else where my money will actually be safe. All I wanted was for my account to reject any charges if there isn't enough money in my account for it. That's it.

This credit union. Received my money for a 13000.00 dollar check and after receiving my money on the 28th of February they are still holding my money 9 days later. And still don’t have the money in my account. There excuses were that’s how we do it. So now I been ripped off on a bank loan and now holding my money that they have had for 9 days. I don’t recommend firelands credit union. Bad for business. Time to change to a regular bank. They like to play with peoples money. I don’t recommend using them.

Don't expect to be able to contact your local branch. This is not a reflection of the tellers.
Tellers are fantastic though.

The ABSOLUTE worst and LAZIEST customer care I have ever witnessed. Talking over me when I try to explain what the issue is - doesn't hear the issue and proceeds to give me a solution that won't help. Then hangs up and I tell her to listen to me instead of speaking over me. Called back in and asked to speak with a supervisor and was laughed at by a very healthy sounding Wendy who then says "haha you're not going to get a supervisor here at 3pm on a Friday" Although I admire your honesty, your attitude could use a little customer service 101. I hate this company and their terrible customer service, I dread when I have to call in because of an issue they mess up or it is something they don't understand.
