I am the most frustrated I’ve ever been and I want my $100 back.
I’ve been saving my tips for months trying to be able to buy people gifts for their birthdays/Christmas. Three of my friends are having a baby, and two of them are having baby showers in September. I bought an unopened card at Walmart with no problem, loaded it with $100, and set off to Amazon to buy some items that were listed on each of their registries.
Each time I have attempted to submit an order, the card has been declined. I spent an hour on the phone with Amazon support trying to figure out what the issue is. Turns out it’s you. I have made sure all of the information on the card is correct and Amazon even had me try to use it to reload a gift card balance. Nothing worked.
Then I called the number on the back of the card to get help and was met with the RUDEST person I’ve ever met. They told me that because I have a pending transaction on the card (from Amazon, which is only 10 cents by the way. Amazon took 20 cents out total to make sure the card is legit) I can’t use the card until August 29th. What??? I then asked what do I do if I still can’t use the card on the 29th and was met with extreme attitude and it ended with them saying “if the pending transaction isn’t cleared by then, then you can’t use the card at all”. Seriously? I PAID for this card, so I expect to be able to use it.
I WANT MY MONEY BACK. Absolutely ridiculous. I’m beyond livid. I have WASTED $100 on this card that is just a POS.

American Express offered me $400 off a flight of I applied for a card. They never delivered on that promise. I was charged for the flight with no credit. I called them and they said they would give me a statement credit and 3000 bonus miles for my trouble. It has been over a month and still no credit. I have made five phone calls about this to no avail. All I know have gotten is false promises to resolve the issue and five hours of my time wasted. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever gotten. Do yourself a favor and get a discover card instead!
