I went to see about a payday loan. Very nice workers by the way. They said they do lines of credit. It would only be a soft pull. The inquiry showed up on my credit report immediately. I was able to get $1k credit line but I only took $600 they charged $51 and deposited $549 into my account. I’ll have to pay back $665 This was on the 13th. For my first time I got a date to payback by June 3rd. They called me 4 days later to remind me I have to pay this. Then called again twice last week. I guess they was off Memorial Day. But they called me every day this week. It’s only Wednesday. I told them please stop calling me it’s marked in my calendar but they continue to call. I don’t think I will ever borrow from them again. Better off maxing out my credit card or pay the interest to withdraw cash smh

I had to update my review although the rating will be the same. I hate the way the prey on people in their time of need. If you get a $600 line of credit you will pay at least $240 a month if you cant pay it back right away. Please take my word for it, this place of busy is LEGALLY ROBBING YOU. The fees are a total Scam. Trust me you've been warned!!!!

I came into checksmart on 4/13/21 and was helped by Kevin he was spectacular he went above and beyond to cash my check (I’ve never used checksmart before) but after that experience I’ll be back

Claim they don't do credit check for line of credit, but they actually do. They don't give loans to Black people at Fairfield store.

All of the employees are so pleasant! Every time I'm in this store, Jennifer is always eager to assist me. She's always kind, courteous, and genuine. I can tell she doesn't get the credit she deserves, so I wanted to drop a line to hopefully brighten her day and let her know she is seen!

I think this the last time I do business with check smart. Samantha called me to let me know I missed a payment. I told her I’d pay it next week because I didn’t have it. She got sarcastic and rude like I was stealing money or taking it out her purse. The back and forth sarcasm should have never happened. This behavior doesn’t make me feel like a customer. Hope she starts treating people better

Went in looking to get a small loan, the ladies at the front desk were all very nice and personable! The one who helped me, Erica, was very informative with the information and was helpful in answering all the questions I had. Will definitely use them again if ever needed!
