I've done business in the past with OMF. Both Marty and Wendy, were excellant in dealing with my loan!

Not honest, very disappointed in the run around from Wendy. Was told refinancing would be an option after a year, it’s been 18mos, and now it’s a balance issue. This is not what was discussed when papers were signed at a astronomically high interest rate, income is higher now, credit score is higher, just got a car loan for a fraction of Onemains interest rate, and they have us locked in at a terrible interest rate and claiming the balance isn’t paid down enough for refinance, never was told balance would be an issue. Specifically asked at time of obtaining the loan, and said we are working on our credit and have a $10 an hour raise coming in the next year, will be able to refinance? “Oh yes! You just have to pay on the loan for a year first.” Nothing about paying down the balance to a certain amount. Lied and I don’t appreciate the tactics used to take advantage of people in a time of need. 0 stars. Do not recommend.
Update: Just refinanced and got my interest rate down by MORE THAN HALF of OneMains, OneMain didn’t even want to try. Gave them multiple opportunities and was given the run around as stated above. Highly recommend looking into credit unions for financial health and financial education. The credit union I’m currently working with is about helping your financial wellness, not making it worse.

This place is a joke. For several years i have received mail about being pre approved. The first time I applied I was approved for bill consoladation, but was not enough to cover all the charge cards. So i didnt take the loan.
Then today, after driving from two hours away, as I have moved, to sign and pick up an approved loan for home improvements, (that was more than I ask for), i was turned away. Reasons being, #1 they wanted my car title, which was no problem, however she forgot to tell me I needed the car here so they could take pictures of it. I could of told her it was in the shop had she told me that!! #2 Having custody of my granchildren, proving income on them. I had a letter from JFS stating amount and when. Also EBT card with a recording of amount applied to card and when. This however, was not good enough. REALLY??
Then there was #3. My mortgage payment. It is sent to my email. She wanted it on paper. I am not real tec savy and was just going to screen shot it and send it to her. No, it had to be downloaded and then sent. Not sure why it mattered, they would have looked the same.
So waisting four hours in a car and about an hour there (she did copy everything else, and did not return it to me) plus the time spent getting all the things she wanted together the day before thanksgiving, i'd say made for a pretty wasted day.
THANK YOU ONE FINANCIAL AND SUSAN.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU TOO.
