Do not get a loan through First Bank of Ohio, they do not answer the phone, call you back or respond to email. Our vehicle was totaled in an accident 2 weeks ago and they literally won’t respond to us or insurance company and all we need it payoff amount, which of course you can’t get on their website. We are literally held hostage since insurance company can’t pay off this vehicle loan without the info. Which also holds up the purchasing of another vehicle since we also can’t get the rest of the money from insurance company until they pay off this vehicle. You are affecting peoples livelihood without the ability to get to and from work. Whoever manages this place should be fired. The reviews are horrible and have been horrible for sometime - all of us are short staffed but we still have to do our job or figure out creative ways to hire additional people.

0 out of 5 stars. This place is awful. The worst customer service I have received anywhere. Apparently, every branch does something different and no one actually does their job. I have been trying to do a loan extension (or skip a payment) for 3 months. I am also locked out of my online account so I can't even pay my loan online, let alone che k on the extension status. I called 12 times today to try to talk to anyone to get anything done. I would have made the payment today if someone had picked up the phone. I have worked at credit unions in the past and would have been fired for this awful customer service.

Awful. Simply terrible. The only reason they get two stars instead of zero is they have good loan rates for good credit. Other than that the experience is terrible. No one answers the phone. They don't return calls. Their on-line banking is antiquated and cumbersome and their ludicrous security requirements to access your account is simply asinine. (Dictate impossible to remember passwords so you have to reset it every time because you can't set up one you can remember) I'm already considering refinancing a two mont old loan because of how bad they are. It's like banking in the Stone Age.

I tried on and off for 2 months to get ahold of them to discuss my vehicle loan and pay it off. Left messages at every extension, no calls back. They flat out don’t believe in answering the phones apparently. I finally just got the money out and drove to Tiffin to handle the loan. It’s very frustrating when a phone call is all it would take to clear things up. I have no clue how they could still be in business.

I've never seen so much worthless under One roof. Cannot get a hold of anyone when you need to when you do get a hold of someone you are placed on hold I'm sorry you are placed on ignore forever and no one picks up. Will be filing complaint with the better Business bureau.

THE WORST BANKE EVER!!
I would give 0 stars if possible. Nobody is available by phone. Ever. Except the payoff loan dept. I never got a monthly statement for how much was left on the loan after each payment, a receipt when payment was made or even when I paid the loan off. Their website is poor user friendly, and has almost no info on your account. You’ll most likely have to deal with several calls and emails to solve 1 simple issue. Did not send my title and made me me jump through several hoops with other gov agencies to get it. Literally the worst business and bank I’ve ever had the displeasure of being a customer at. Do yourself a favor and run if this is your only option!

I’ve tried calling to change my address numerous amounts of times. I can not change it myself. Keep getting told to send an email. Numerous emails sent, with no response. You can not get ahold of the loan office at all and they will not respond back to you. My vehicle is almost paid off and I want to make sure I get the title sent to the correct address. I don’t know what to do. I will never ever again get a loan through this bank. Zero customer service, impossible use of online banking. This bank is a scam.

Fortunately, I had a much better experience than most of the reviewers had. I paid off a car years ago (paid if off early with no penalty) but the bank was still holding a lien on the vehicle. I called and spoke with Breanna. She very professional and responsive. Since I called late in the day, she let me know I’d have the release first thing the next morning. She was true to her word.
