If you can avoid using 53 bank, I would recommend it. There are many local banks and credit unions that are dedicated to their customers. I have been a customer of this bank for close to a decade out of convenience. Training and customer service are lacking from the top down. Don't bother calling the office as no one will answer because they are too busy standing around socializing. I witnessed this personally, after calling the branch several times and getting a busy message. I then went to the bank and called from the lobby only to receive the same busy message as I watched employees ignore the phones to visit with each other. Employees don't know the products available and will lie to you about services. When issues are brought to management, they become very defensive and condescending. I was forcibly told that the only resolution to my problems would be by closing my account. This is how they treat their customers. This bank has cost me money and negative detriment to my life and credit score due to their lack of knowledge about the services that they provide.

Please do not under any circumstances do business with this bank. The local branch overall has really nice employees. However the customer service line and their ability to correct a mistake are a joke. They refuse to make right any errors they make and tell you that its up to their system to workout. It is absolute insanity. I paid off a loan balance with them only to have them go in and still take out more money and leaving me now unable to purchase my life saving medication. They did not care that they made or their system made the error and refused to correct it.
In the meantime I guess I will be spending the night at the hospital in the ER or ICU now since they “can’t do anything” to help me resolve their error as it's “absolutely not possible” apparently. Granted they cannot help meds are expensive but they certainly can help rectify an internal error immediately and they refuse to do it. Worst bank I have ever dealt with and as others stated they care nothing for the customer. Locally the branch seems nice but the main support line is horrible and if you get someone you can understand they still refuse to correct anything.
