FlagstarOffered me help when I got had lost my job due to emergency eye surgery due to covid. But when I got able to pay ,went through modification process they put wrong date on it and wouldn't honor their agreement. And sold my mortgage to another bank, during process and now the new bank has not received proof of modification so now I have to provide proof of the the payments they accepted.8 months I have went through the process to get straight all for nothing after all the promises to help still trying to fix so I can keep my house which is almost payed off . . don't trust them find another bank.

Do not Bank with this Flagstar. I refinanced my mortgage to combine a mortgage with another company and a home equity line of credit. However, they said the money was late to credit. So I owed extra $27.54. So I asked them to sent a letter for what I owe to close this account. Now I owe over 80 bucks to close it. They have lot of fees to pay of HELOC. Please do not use Flagstar as your bank.

Flagstar just lost a good customer due to adding fees to my mortgage pmt without me authorizing it. $10 fees with no explanations. When contacting customer care, I was hung up on twice & left on hold over 10 mins another time. Then told no the fee will not be removed d/t someone calling to request a payoff (not me) nor did i authorize this. Company is not confidential with personal info. Gave my payoff w/o my consent then charged me for it. Their solution was "we will send u out a form to put a pw on yr acct in 7-10 days" YET still refused to credit fee. Reps would rather argue & hang up then assist customers

I can assure you this is not the bank you want. If you could, think of all the things you wouldn't like your bank to do. Flagstar will do it, ive been interviewing customers and have heard people losing their entire balance in their recent acquisition of Wells Fargo to my own experience of being lied to from their customer service department time and time again. I would recommend going to any other bank to save yourself a lot of pain and time.

I have made several attempts over a number of weeks to get ahold of someone at this bank to sign a insurance claim check, and no one will return my calls or emails.
