I've had nothing but good experiences during my loans. There's a lot of extra feature's that can really help you as life continues to happen. Sounds like a lot of belly aching and poor decisions on here. Very thankful for the service and customer care I've recieved from this location.

From the start I worked with Yolanda who treated me wonderfully, was very responsive, took time to answer questions and did everything in her power to get my loan taken care of. It was actually a pleasure to go through this process, this is a great place to get a quick loan. They even get you protections that will be available past your loan! Excellent service.

My experience with OneMain started out very nice. I took out a loan and the staff who helped me (Kristina and a kind young gentleman, whose name I unfortunately cannot recall) were wonderful. I’d get calls occasionally from Kristina checking in on me, reminding me of payment due dates or financing promotions.
Everyone runs into bumps in the road at one point or another, and I’m no exception. I spent a great deal of time on the phone with Kristina explaining what was going on and assuring her that I would be making a payment on my account as soon as I possibly could. She was very understanding.
A few days later, I received a call from “Buck” wanting to set up a payment on the account. I informed him that I would be making a payment the following week. He said that he was unable to accept that, and if I wouldn’t be making a payment right then and there that he needed me to come to the branch to “rewrite” the loan. I asked him what that meant, and he said it would “add a few extra hundred dollars to the loan and get it back on track”. I said that I wasn’t interested in refinancing and taking out more money, and that I’d be making a payment when I was able. He continued to argue that this was not acceptable to him, and something about being unable to close out the month in his branch until I had this taken care of. I continued to decline, and he finally asked for my checking account information to set up a post dated payment. I said that I did not feel comfortable setting up a withdrawal from my checking account until I knew the funds were available to be taken out. He argued with me, saying that next week is “done and over with” (seriously, those were his words) and went back to insisting that I come to the branch to rewrite the loan.
At this point I was fed up with the bullying and strong arming and flat out told him that he would not be getting anything from me until the following week and I didn’t know how else to say that. I told him that a payment would be made, period, and that I didn’t appreciate his attitude. He said he’d been nothing but “gracious” for the duration of the call, which made me literally laugh out loud. I told him I’d put in a payment online, thanked him for ruining my day, and ended the call.
The following week, to my dismay, I received a call from Buck. He wanted to make sure that I was putting in a payment online. I said that I could not believe he had the audacity to call me again about this, and he hung up on me.
Long story short, I find it very unfortunate that OneMain hired this individual. As I said before, my interactions with the other employees at the Hillsboro branch have been nothing but wonderful. However, due to his brazen tactics and complete lack of human decency, I have to suggest that anyone interested in doing business with OneMain seek financing elsewhere or at the very least at a different location.

A huge waste of my time. I applied online, uploaded my ID, paystubs, and contacts as requested. I was told someone from the office would call me. I waited a reasonable amount of time for a call back and got nothing. I called them and they told me the person handling my loan request would call me by a certain time. That didn't happen. I had to keep calling back and was never able to reach the person who was supposed to help me, but it turned out someone else was able to help me. Things were looking up! Strangely, they wanted my ID, paystub, and contacts list even though I submitted it online-- so where did all of that sensitive information go?!?! The office visit itself took this from a 3.5 star experience to a quick 2 at best-- I was in there for AN HOUR AND A HALF even with an appointment. My request was simple and we had covered pretty much everything over the phone. There are signs all over telling you you don't have to purchase the insurance but they challenged my refusal of it, which was very annoying. They pressured me into a loan much higher than what I needed and then I almost laughed in their face when I asked them how much I would have to repay in total. The interest is INSANE. I could not in good conscience go through with this. And I had to DIG that information out of them. This business doesn't exist to truly help people through hard times, it exists to ensure that you'll put yourself even further into debt, at their benefit. I had the ability to turn them down, others in more desperate positions may not have that choice. Literally borrow from anyone else before you turn to them. May I suggest Cashco a short distance away--they are awesome and got me just what I needed with very reasonable terms! Stay far away from OneMain if you can help it!
