Someone used my card and charged $900. It was not me. They never notified me. I found out about it on my own on Sat. evening 3/20/22 when they were closed. Their phone number sent me to after-hours disputes. I was told they blocked the card but I would have to call the Credit Union to dispute the charge. I tried again Sun. and got a different person but the same story. So I called back Monday at 9:00am and got a third person, I still did not get the credit union. This 3rd person said they could not find the charge on the account, but l still saw it on my account. The last thing they had on our account was several days ago 3/11/22. I looked that up and it was a valid charge. I told him the woman Sat. evening said she would block the account. He checked and the account was STILL OPEN. So I asked him to cancel the account. He did and gave me a reference number. He also said I should call Everence about the disputed charge that he could not help me with that. I looked up the number online and it was different. However, when I called it all I got was a voice mail that they would call me back. 5/20/22 My wife has since been in touch with Lisa, whom I believe is the branch manager. So far she has been able to remove the interest charge on the false activity. She has also, today, sent a form to fill out to close our membership at Everence. We were also told, by Home Depot, the item was shipped to our house, but we got nothing and suspect it was picked-up by someone else, so we have filed a police report with the Henrico County Police Department.

Get an account with Everence! They are super friendly, great to work with, and offer really fantastic benefits for special things like electric cars and other clean energy stuff.

I have banked with Everence for over 20 years. In that time i have had personal loans, auto loans, a business account and business loans as well as credit cards. I have never had a negative experience, the staff are friendly and helpful, the loan processes are fair and efficient. They have been growing the ease of use for their mobile banking. Im confident that anyone who has negative feedback about them, did not give them the time of day to receive help with their problem. Love this bank

Everence came through for me when I needed them. Staff and management were helpful, supportive, and patient despite my lack of experience with loans. I am so glad to be a part of this organization as a congregational advocate in my home state of Colorado, and now as a happy customer. I hope others can be helped as I was! I would give FIVE stars to john martin
And ZERO stars to natalia the mortage rep.
Extremly disappointed in our appointment with their mortgage rep named Natalia , my husband and i went in to inquire about their mortgages and we were completly brushed off for our young age(late 20s ) and were told from the very start of the appointment that we should go and look for programs for first time home buyers somewhere else and take first time home buyers courses and she wanted to wrap up the appointment with in the first five minutes without asking us what loan amount we were looking for and how much we would be putting down or the current rates, making us feel that we were wasting her time from the get go. And literally told my husband that she thought we had no money to put down (again she is assuming we had no money just because of our young age ).
Her conversation then took a dramatic turn once we told her how much we had saved and how much we were planning to put down.
Only reason i give 2 star is because we felt more than welcome by their other mortage rep(john martin whom we would rate at five stars) who graciously took the time to go over details and question us about the loan we were looking for and suggested the amounts of loans that would suit us
But rest assured word of mouth goes a long way and we will not be recommending friends and family to go there.
We have chosen to go to fulton bank with our loan due to the warm welcome and open minds we received when we walked in
