Waited 40 minutes in the drive thru line only to be told I can't cash a check. They didn't look at my ID, check or any of the other forms of identifications that I had. Maybe its a Vermont law but I've done this before in my state NH with only my ID. Not helpful at all. I've had better AND friendlier service at the Keene location. I've never been this mad to leave a bad review but they really brought me there.

Horrible decision to close Putney Rd branch. I'm seriously considering changing banks, and I've been with this bank since it was First Vermont. 20 yrs? Makes me sad actually. The Main St bank is cold and impersonal and the lines too long. I like a friendly face taking my money, not someone who glares at me.

This is the best bank in Brattleboro. The employees are knowledgeable, accurate and patient with all of my requests. Without them, I would not have been able to sort through issues related to financial decisions. The branch on Putney Road needed to be closed.

Lied to me when I opened my account on Putney road. Told me as long as I had $100 in the account come the end of each period I would not incur any service fees. However, my account when below $100 balance for one day and they charged me a fee of $14. This left me with only $89 in the account, since I do not regularly use this account anymore I did not notice the balance and they continued to take $14 out until I noticed it was in the negative this morning. After wasting two hours of my morning between the phone and at the Brattleboro branch I accepted $37 out of my $103 and closed my account. Waste of my morning and $66. Never use TD!

The staff is very friendly, and take great care of me every time I walk through the door. Most of the tellers know and address me by name, and I have never had a bad experience at the Main Street branch.

If you are trying to run a business, specifically in any trade DO NOT USE THEM. They will tell you your checks will be held for the first 30 days as a new account, after that no problems. Every check we have tried to deposit from our customers has been held for almost a week. This is past the initial 30 days. No matter the amount. They can’t tell you how long or for what amount. Totally screws you over when you are trying to run a small business and can’t purchase materials in a timely manor. Closing our business account here and highly recommend you not using them for your business.

I finance a car through TD bank and it was a nightmare. My credit rating is almost eight hundred. I made payments over the phone and over the internet and they were always messing it up. Finally I paid the loan off and then they tried to keep the money from my insurance company for my extended warranty which had nothing to do with the car. Very bad bank would give a 0 if I could.
