Pick a different bank if you want professional service.
Jennifer at the Ocean Park branch was unable to give me the account features that she said were no problem when I opened my account. That is ongoing to this day.
I a called 2 weeks ago about a loan for property. Jennifer told me the requirements and they were all met. Then she asked my name and when I gave it to her she immediately said the bank wouldn't be able help.
But that was a lie? They could have easily helped me with my banking needs but Jennifer refused.
She then saw my review and has another bank employee call me who verified that the bank did have the ability to provide the service I asked about.
By that time the loan was already pre approved at mare than double what was needed and the terms for improved property and raw land are the same. At BoP they were not the same.
2 different BoP employees tried to play dumb and defend Jennifer's discrimination against me but when pressed had no choice but to say that the bank had laon products that would have worked.
Jennifer is incompetent as far as I'm concerned and if she doesn't want help you she will lie and refuse service'

I am an older widower. I seem to be somewhat computer challenged and I could not log on to Bank Of The Pacific's website. I spent most of yesterday talking to very friendly and helpful staff. Today I still couldnt get logged on so I made a personal stop at the bank and was helped by a wonderful kind representative by the name of Ashley. She took pity on me and gave me a tutorial on how to log on with some very helpful tips. I just couldnt let he kind , professional service go unnoticed and just wanted to say how much I appreciated her guidance and helping hand. Jonathan Cox

I tried to open a business account and they demanded so unreasonable amount of paperwork that I went to Chase and was up and running in an hour. I wanted to order a checkbook for my personal account and apparently the cost is $30 which is a complete ripoff. It's a small piece of paper for crying out loud... I wanted to support local bank but I'll be looking for a more decent place for my money and business.

They are not very professional. I sent tgem all tge information needed to transfer money to Mexico so I could pay for new windows in my condo. I was told they didn’t know how. I called Morgan Stanley, done. My wallet was stolen in Mexico. I informed my bnks my credit card through Bank of America denied a charge for $1,500. As large and unusual. bank of Pacific allowed 2 charges for $1:500 each at an office store, no pin or legal signature was given. I was living in my home, in Mexico, i did an online transfer of fynds to my contractor, to his bank account. It was for $13,000. Yes, thirteen thousand ollars. I received an email saying the transfer was done. My contractor had no received the money, i checked witgh him several times. I sent Bank of Pacific emails asking where is my money? I got nonresponse. As time passed i ggot more and more worried, where was my $13,000.? I was upset. I wrote tgem an email saying they were incomoetent and unprofessional. Knowing their rural location i said maybe tgey should have stayed in the farm miking the cows. Just calling it as it was. They got angry and said i was rude and closed all 3 of my accounts. I was given 30;days whike lining in Mexico with no direct contact to a USA bank possible. When i corresponded with a management employee i said i was surprised they would close an account with $30,000. In it. She said, “we don’t care how much money you have.” I was astounded thinking you should, you are a bank. Money is your business. Closing my accounts have caused me money and mental anguish. Sure they like that thought. I lost my phone service for non payment. Just received added late charges for my property taxes. Both were on automatic withdrawal through this bank. The sent back deposits and automatic withdrawals stating the account had been closed. It was worded to look like i had closed tge account. I finally got back home months later and have been able to arrange for my deposits and some of the autonwithdrawals. It was their unprofessional, incomoetent behavior that caused me a lot of problems. When my money had not shown in my contractors account why didn’t they behave in a professional manner instead if ignoring my question? All they had to do was sayy, we will check on this with the other bank, perhaps it hasn’t been posted yet. Tgat would be a highly competent and professional way to handle this. Unfortunately this is a rural bank that has employees with little experience in the banking world. They just lack worldly experience. Yesthey belong places where rural folk have knowledge, like milking cows and caring for the chickens. I would be lost on how to do those things, not from a rural background. This is not a bank for folks who do any international any international anything. Even if you live in tgese communities and do business with folks like me who send noney because they are at least part of the time living out of their rural communities.
