I've been a member at Canopy almost my entire life and have had the BEST experiences with them. They truly care about your story and don't make decisions just based off of your credit score. They take the time to get to know you and genuinely care about your success - in fact, they celebrate it with you! Here's a pic of me in front of my amazing Credit Union after I paid off my car loan. I'll be a loyal member for the rest of my life! Thanks for everything, Canopy!

My favorite credit union in Spokane. Super friendly and professional staff that actually care about their members. I've been a member here for 8 years now and have no plans on changing that anytime soon.

I had a very positive and professional experience working with Leah Nathan and the Canopy Credit Union team on refinancing a loan. I highly recommend the Canopy Credit Union based on excellent customer service and good communication throughout the process.

Fantastic! I am very pleased to have switched from Bank of America to Canopy.
They’ve been very helpful in helping me raise my credit score and the atmosphere here is very friendly and supportive.

I came to Canopy with a checkered banking past. They opened up my account and I STILL had some money management skills to learn and ended up overdrafting beyond what my finances could repair. They never sent me to collections and when I became more financially secure they worked a payment plan out with me and we reopened an account once I made good on my past due balance. They have always treated me like family, even though my troubles. I will never close my account with them. They have great loan options that I've built my positive credit with and they are so friendly and helpful in all that I need each month. I can honestly say I love my bank. Thanks Canopy. You guys are all Rock St☆rs.

Pros: Friendly people, easy to contact customer service, decent app for everyday things
Cons: No international wires, referred us to a terrible mortgage company that almost lost us our house, incessant junk mail
Servion, the company we were referred to for a mortgage, missed deadlines including on that would have allowed the seller to back out. They also were extemely difficult to get a hold. I know that company isn't Canopy but I would expect to be referred to someone better.
The junk mail Canopy sends is pathetic. They incessantly spam my email and regular mail multiple times per month. They're trying to sell insurance and the mail is clearly designed to take advantage of people. I cannot tell you how much I hate that my bank takes part in this distasteful and distrustful behavior. "URGENT!" "Please sign by..." "You've been selected." Not even Wells Fargo or Chase send me as much scammy looking junkmail as Canopy. I do not understand why the managers are ok with putting their name on this.

Update: Kurtis reached out to me and was able to restore my credit limit for the heloc. I appreciate him for reaching out to me and helping me during this difficult time.
We had joined Canopy after receiving a heloc from them. We thought they were nice and helpful and it came with good perks. I went into preterm labor and lost our twin boys at 22 weeks. My husband hadn’t been working due to medical conditions. I had called Canopy ahead of the due date of the heloc to ask what they can do to help me. Paid Family Medical Leave takes 5 or more weeks before we even get paid (turned out to be 7 weeks for me). I just needed some time and one month of skipping a payment. We were also in the middle of planning their funeral arrangements, that wasn’t cheap either. They told me they couldn’t do anything to help due to the nature of the loan. During the end of that first phone call, I told them I’ll ask my family members to help then. When I called back to let them know I would still be able to make the payments on time, they told me they cancelled my limit. I never missed a payment before and just needed a little time to figure things out. I was so upset. I was still going to be able to make payments on time. But due to me reporting no income, they took away our revolving credit line. I do understand why it had to be done… but I was just so disappointed. I thought credit unions helped people and it did not feel that way. I was already heartbroken from losing our twin boys and it just felt like they kicked me even more when I was already so down. So thank you Canopy for not helping.
