If you you would have asked me 6 years ago I would say 5 stars no questions asked. We bought our home using Cherry Creek. We had a great experience and referred many people this way. But to refinance...I would give a zero if it were possible. I guess one star is ok as we did close on our refinance. After much time talking about how my husband was out of state and would be unavailable after a certain date for a period of two weeks they of course said they had all they needed but then the first day he was unavailable they sent a ton of stuff over for him to do(he is military). We picked a closing date around my husband being home but they neglected to schedule that date. (a month prior to the date you think would have been enough time)After much heated discussion they did get the date we needed. They misplaced several documents we sent and several times so we had to resend the documents. They said funds would be available immediately when actually it would take three days. My sister just refinanced her house that is also VA. Her lender talked to her about a 15 year mortgage as well as so many options. Cherry Creek did nothing of the sort. Unfortunately she is in another state so we could not use her lender. When we mailed our first payment the person who posts the payments was on vacation. Apparently no one else can do her job. My check was uncashed for 2 weeks after I sent it. I asked if someone could at least look to see if it was there and it was. I am not sure how they would have handled it if she were gone over the 15 day grace period. I could not wait for our loan to be sold. That being said, today we got notification that the loan was sold to some unknown mom and pop place back east. Last time they sent it to Wells Fargo. Not sure why it didn't go to a real bank this time. Don't waste your time. Maybe it was due to it being a refinance, not as lucrative for them?
