Treated well, good rates and programs and fraudulent activities quickly resolved. The Mt Pleasant branch has long term employees who are friendly and knowledgeable. Have been with Lake Trust since it was SECU and have no reason to look elsewhere for our banking needs.

My daughter's account was scammed right as a transfer into my account. Instead of investigation into scam they took the money back out of my account to cover potential losses. That money sat in my account untouched for 9 days. "Wade" from fraud prevention was shady. Wouldn't tell me as ny identification. I a asked to talk to his supervisor then he hung up. The money she transferred can be traced to the source but they allowed fraudulent activity to happen.

I've been a member with Lake trust since they bought out Nuunion credit union, so how many years that is. Used them for car loans etc. So summer 21 I got preapproved for a car loan. Actually twice because I didn't find anything. Dec 21 I find a truck i liked and called them from the dealer. It was about 2 in the afternoon. They put me on hold for maybe a 30 minutes. I finally hung up, called again, got a live person and put on hold again for maybe 20. The dealer told me they will beat the rate, which was low AND have it done it 20 minutes and even a local bank, Huntington. So I did it. Lake trust never called me back. Wrote them an email. No response. Last straw is my credit card is expiring, no new credit card. Wrote them an email. No response. So I have a capital one quicksilver on the way...with rewards! You know its nice to have a bank or credit union that's on the ball, peace of mind, so as much as a pain as its going to be I'm gone. Recommendation is to avoid them.

The ATM stole $330 from me, I have it on video that I deposited it and it did not deposit to my account because of a “transaction issue” and did not give my money back. I called to dispute it because there is a security camera directly above the ATM, they told me it’d be resolved in 10 business days, and then they did nothing. I am going to have to audit them and change banks because I can’t even get ahold of someone to figure out what the result of my dispute was, the phone wait times are hours long and they just keep transferring you.

Lousy customer service with Fraudulent undertones. Their atm scammed me and took money from my account but did not dispense it. Went inside for some help and all I got was sorry excuses for human beings. They said they don't own the atm and there was nothing they could do. Really? You don't own the atm that has your banks name all over it? Yeah right! Lady went to the atm and took money out for herself and said look works just fine. Lousy person. Had to go to my bank and they found it ridiculous that lake trust refused to help with what is in fact their atm. Now an audit is being done and camera coverage will be reviewed. Stay away from these frauds and the lousy people who work here!
Also want to point out that despite being required by executive order, no one was wearing a face mask inside when I got inside. They didn't put them until well after I had already gotten inside.

Follow up: Switched mostly to Huntington who has excellent customer service. I can't even get a 1099 from lake trust. There is supposed to be one on the member services page, nearest year is 2020. I can't get through on the phone, hold for 20 minutes. So i did the chat, I have to use my year ending statement to report my interest to the IRS. Save yourself the headache!
