I have 2 loans through Wells Fargo dealer services. I can I have always paid on time except during the early stages of Covid. They suspended my loan for 6 months until work opened up for me. Obviously my term became longer but additional fees or penalties and no impact to my credit.
My only complaint would be that they will only work with major car dealerships otherwise I would use them for all vehicle purchases.

I have NEVER had a problem with them servicing my loan. My interest rate was a little high but my credit wasn't perfect five years ago. They allowed me to do a seven year loan so the payment was more than affordable.
For five years I have always paid on time through the web site and haven't had a need to contact them. So there has been NO PROBLEM.
Hey folks, PAY YOUR BILL! I'm sure if your loan is current you wouldn't have such crappy experience.

I need to add to how bad this company's Auto Finance Dept. is. So after paying off my auto loan, my title never arrived. I called them up and found they mailed it to an older address. Okay that can be part my fault since I hadn't dealt with them since signing the loan and completely forgot they had my old address on file.
Here is where it gets messy. They indicated the people at the old address mailed them back the title and that they had it. That they would be mailing it out priority to me. Fast forward about 4 more phone calls to them that they were just looking for it and would mail it out or that they found it and would mail it out (they never did) to eventually, they couldn't find it.
They mailed me out a check to pay for the title so I could go to DMV to get a new one. This happened right before covid hit which made me unable to get to a DMV for about 9 months. When I finally got to the DMV, they couldn't accept the check because it was too old now. I had to pay out of my own pocket.
I called WF Auto services back up to get reimbursed and they gave me an email address to mail my receipt proofs to. 5 days later, still no response from the email I sent them...
I can't say enough bad things about dealing with them has been. Add to the fact that you can't just go to your local WF bank in person to work with any of this because they aren't the same branch according to my local WF. You are stuck making terrible phone calls. Enjoy the one where after pressing the 5 different phone prompts and entering information, they hang up as soon as the phone rings. Yeah, lots of fun.

I can’t even believe that NO stars isn’t an option. They don’t even deserve this one star. Never ever again will I be getting an auto loan thru them again. This was the worst experience we have ever had. First of all, if you’re selling your car they make it impossible to get it paid off. Second of all, every time we or the Wells Fargo branch called we kept getting different payoff quotes. Then we were told the wire transfer would be almost immediate and when I called the second time to see if it had gone in yet another employee told me to allow 5 business days. The guy then told me he couldn’t go into specifics on my husbands account. (Totally understand that), but I told him multiple times I have a POA and kept asking him where to send it so he could talk to me about the account. The guy clearly had no clue what a POA was. I ended up hanging up on him because his customer service was the worst thing I have ever encountered.

Ever since the account fraud issues with Wells Fargo bank, they broke off the Auto Loan department to protect themselves bc they know they're not intending to put value into the Auto Loan portion of their company. Instead, they must be gutting the department and extracting what they can before it fails. This is why, despite extraordinary efforts on my part, they reject most payment attempts and charge excessive late fees rather than advertising higher interest.
